Spin A yarn has just opened its second shop on Beech Street in Killarney, opposite the Ulster bank.

What do you do when you can’t find the perfect yarn you want for that special project?  Why, start your own shop of course!  We’re Jean Flynn and Jo Harrington and that’s exactly what we did, down here in the lovely little market town of Kenmare, Co. Kerry, Ireland. And we have to admit that since we opened our doors just over three years ago, we’ve looked forward eagerly to work every day.  Meeting other knitters and crafters and talking about yarn and projects has to be the perfect way to make a living - even if the paperwork does sometimes threaten to engulf us!

But it’s the yarns you want to know about, isn’t it? Well, we defy you to find a more gorgeous range than you’ll discover on our shelves.  The amazing colourways of Colinette, from that genius with the dyepot in Mid Wales. The wonderful subtle shadings of Noro, all the way from a small family firm in Japan. Soft and beautiful yarns from Araucania  in South America.  Plus Debbie Bliss, Louisa Harding, Rowan, and more!  Floor to ceiling temptation, overflowing into baskets everywhere and even on to the big squashy sofa covered in a Noro throw. You won’t know where to look first.
